Since starting DWD in 2015, I’ve been able to help over 350 couples and families plan their weddings, honeymoons and experiences to over 20 different countries. I’m committed to creating unforgettable memories and experiences for my clients all over the world without the stress and overwhelm that can come with planning a trip…
…I have big goals for DWD, and can’t wait to watch them unfold. When I’m not traveling around scoping out the latest destinations and helping my clients plan their dream trip, I can be found in Waco, Texas with my husband and boy/girl twins.
Let’s speak with Dana
Planning 5-star travel is often seen as the dream job by many, when did you start your career as a travel agent ? What prompted you to do it ?
Travel was always a dream for me, and only that, a far flung dream. However, my husband spent much of his early years in the work force traveling across the world. He is the one who prompted me to finally start traveling. Once I did, I was hooked! I spent hours upon hours creating the perfect itineraries our vacations to New York City, Las Vegas, and the Hawaiian Island. After some encouragement from friends and family, I decided to make it my career as a travel advisor. The rest, they say, is history!
Knowing wonderful destinations and being able to stay in any hotel must sometimes be difficult to choose what to suggest to your clients. What has been the dream trip you have already taken for your clients ?
My recent trip to Italy was no doubt a dream come true for me! Since, I have already been working with over 15 couples and families to create itineraries to the region. I’m also looking forward to my husband and my’s 10 year anniversary trip to Bora Bora.
Working with the best suppliers around the world and being used to having impeccable service, what do you think makes the difference when choosing who to partner with ?
Communication and connections are key to me! I love knowing that my clients are cared for in destination by suppliers that I have personally met and spoken with.
Among the many experiences that can be organized during a trip why did you decide to try and propose a professional photo service ? What makes this experience so special ?
So often in the digital age we live in, we tend to spend endless time trying to snap just the right photo while in destination. Not “perfect”? Delete. Try again. And repeat. It is exhausting! Booking a professional photoshoot takes that stress away! You have a professional behind the lens who knows how to shoot, how to pose, and the perfect spots within the destination. Then you go home with beautiful photographs of memories of your vacation. During the photoshoot, you are likely to visit a couple of spots, and probably see sights you wouldn’t have noticed before. Plus, it is a way to support the local economy. It is a win-win!
Where would you like to have a really special photo shoot ?
Paris or Santorini! Eiffel Tower in the background, so special. Or those cascading white buildings and staircases in Santorini-so dreamy!
