Leah grew up with a passion for travel and culture. Her international parents inspired her lifelong curiosity to see the world. Today the world is her office. Whether discovering a new flamenco bar in Seville, helicoptering over New Zealand’s Milford Sound, or exploring Chile’s glacial Maipo Valley on horseback, she is always seeking the hidden gems of a destination to inspire clients.
Her mission is to provide first-hand knowledge of where to stay and what to do to create unforgettable journeys.
Let’s speak with Leah
Planning 5-star travel is often seen as the dream job by many, when did you start your career as a travel agent ? What prompted you to do it ?
I grew up with foreign parents, who instilled a passion for world cultures and languages. When I was 19 I studied abroad (in Spain) and stayed longer than expected. My love of travel and the world was constantly growing, so I decided to dive into the travel industry. My first job out of college was for a travel wholesal operator, then I switched paths a bit and worked on a travel tv show, then managed corporate accounts for an agency, and eventually decided to sell travel as an independent agent. I love what I do. Every day is a different adventure, planning trips for clients with my knowledge and passion for destinations always coming through. And I continue to love learning about travel and the world. Journey On, always!
Knowing wonderful destinations and being able to stay in any hotel must sometimes be difficult to choose what to suggest to your clients. What has been the dream trip you have already taken for your clients ?
One of my all-time favorite trips was to the Maldives. I saw many properties and experienced the beauty of the islands firsthand. This was extremely important to me, as I gained first-hand knowledge and am able to confidently recommend specific properties for different types of clients. My clients trust me to guide them with their travel choices, and this enables me to do that, and speak from personal experience.
Working with the best suppliers around the world and being used to having impeccable service, what do you think makes the difference when choosing who to partner with ?
Reliability, relationships between me and the hotelier or vendor, knowing that they consistantly go the extra mile for my clients….this all is a big factor in who I partner with.
Among the many experiences that can be organized during a trip why did you decide to try and propose a professional photo service ? What makes this experience so special ?
I have three adult children and we are rarely together in one place (other than for one week during Christmas season). The opportunity to have family photos taken while we were together in Copenhagen recently was an obvious “must” on my agenda. We had a great time together during the shoot, and now have keepsakes
Where would you like to have a really special photo shoot ?
I would love to have a photo shoot in New Zealand, with the natural beauty in the background. What a stunningly gorgeous country!

Our Pix Around photographer was so kindhearted, had fun energy and the experience was great for all of us, mutually. Sometimes kids, no matter what age, just don’t want to be photographed – but she made it effortless and fun! I also love that I have memories and photos to show of our time abroad together as a family.
