When travelling to a country or a city for the first time, it can be quite challenging to figure out which places would best suit your personality, your story and your wishes. Of course, social networks nowadays can be quality allies to get a first idea.

Living in the city for many years and being photographers in Paris, Pix Around’s team is lucky to have been able to skim the streets of the City of Light and is happy to share with you the best of what Paris has to offer.

You will find below a list of Parisian places selected by Pix Around for their typically French aura and atmosphere.
With regard to each of these places, it is important to specify that they should be understood as areas of the city, each offering a rich visual identity and many different backdrops.

TROCADERO, THE EPIC LOCATION

THE MOST FAMOUS LOCATION WITH THE BEST VIEW ON THE EIFFEL TOWER

The Trocadéro Square is without any doubt the most famous spot in Paris to take photographs. This can be explained by its incredible view on the Eiffel Tower but also by the grandiose and elegant atmosphere that prevails on the site.

Being such a famous location in Paris, it quickly gets crowded with tourists during the day. we advise to start shooting at the Trocadéro early in the morning in order to have the best light and avoid selfie-sticks.

BIR-HAKEIM, THE AESTHETIC LOCATION

THIS FANTASTIC BRIDGE AND ITS UNIQUE DESIGN OFFER A WONDERFUL VIEW ON THE EIFFEL TOWER

The Bir-Hakeim Bridge has been made famous in particular by its appearance in many cinematographic works, including the movies “Last Tango in Paris” and “Inception”.

The 257-metre long bridge was a technical feat of the time (1905) as it allows pedestrians, cars, bicycles and also the aerial metro to travel.

Its unique and rich architecture, its world famous colonnade and an extraordinary view of the Eiffel Tower make the Bir-Hakeim bridge one of the most suitable places to create timeless images. Its viaduct structure also makes it a beautiful alternative to the Trocadéro Square for taking pictures in case of rainy weather.

LOUVRE, THE MAJESTIC LOCATION

THE MOST VISITED MUSEUM IN THE WORLD. FAMOUS FOR ITS MODERN GLASS PYRAMIDS

The Louvre Museum grounds are a reference for architecture and Paris enthusiasts all around the world. The site consists of two courtyards, the most famous of which houses the famous glass pyramids installed in 1989 in the middle of this monumental palace (you actually have no idea how gigantic the palace is until you see it for real). The contrast between the classical architecture of the palace and the modernism of the pyramids makes it a place quick to surprise and amaze.

The Louvre lends itself as a location for a family photo shoot. The outdoor spaces near the Pyramids give children the opportunity to let off steam, and the nearby Palais Royale is equally great for a family portrait

ALEXANDER III, THE GOLDEN LOCATION

A HISTORICAL MONUMENT CROSSING THE SEINE RIVER. ITS DECORATIONS MAKE THIS CENTURY-OLD BRIDGE A UNIQUE WORK OF ART

This famous bridge is named after the Russian Tsar Alexander 3 and was inaugurated for the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900. It is loaded with a high symbolic value: it is indeed the symbol of friendship between France and Russia.

It is undoubtedly the most monumental and richly decorated bridge in Paris.

TUILERIES, THE ROMANTIC LOCATION

THE OLDEST ROYAL GARDENS IN PARIS. LOCATED BY THE RIVER AND HOSTING A VARIETY OF STATUES, FOUNTAINS AND TREE ALLEYS

The Tuileries Gardens are located in the heart of Paris between the Louvre Museum and Place de la Concorde. In 1664, the king’s famous gardener, André Le Nôtre, gave the place its current French-style garden appearance. It is a place of stroll and culture for Parisians and tourists where the statues of Maillol rub shoulders with those of Rodin or Giacometti. The place, rich in tree paths and vegetation, is particularly pleasant from spring to autumn. During the winter period, it is less suitable for beautiful shots of course.

PARISIAN CAFES, THE IDYLLIC LOCATION

ENJOYING A GOOD COFFEE IN A TERRACE IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE FAVORITE ACTIVITIES OF PARISIANS

The capital’s many cafés are a real institution and are part of the daily life of all Parisians. One of the particularities is the layout of the chairs. Their orientation is chosen so that you can watch the passers-by while enjoying your coffee.

Choosing to spend a time in a café during your photo session is an opportunity to take a break, to experience a typically Parisian moment and to create authentic images.

MONTMARTRE, THE ARTISTIC LOCATION

ENJOY THE ARTISTIC AIR THAT PERVADES THIS FAMOUS PARIS LOCATION

A photo session in Montmartre is something we, as local Parisian photographers, highly recommend if you want to shoot in a very authentic Parisian area. Montmartre is very famous because it is an area where you find a lot of art and music. And Montmartre also has a very romantic vibe with it’s tiny streets, cute buildings, romantic gardens and the wall of love.
